I nominate Star for R.E.A.D. at Rapaura

Many of you know Star who often accompanies me to school where she waits patiently for me in the car. But what if she came into the library as a READ dog?
Check out the link by clicking on the title of this post. It explains more about the Reading Education Assistant Dogs (READ) who go into libraries to be read to.
The video quality is not great but the article underneath is very interesting. I suggest we all start recommending Star as Rapaura's new teacher aide to Mrs Williams!

Room 3 and Room 4 watched part of the video about Bailey. We would like Star to be a reading dog because the library could use one of the listening dogs. Dogs are very cute and good at listening. Do you think Star would need to be trained to sit and listen? We would like to read to her. Could you ask Star and Mrs Williams if she could come.

Hello Room 3 and Room 4,
Thank you for your comments!
Star would love to be read to in the library. She is very good at sitting and listening although she may need a little while to adjust to the excitement of being with a whole bunch of kids. I think it is a good idea to ask Mrs Williams first what she thinks before we invite Star into the library. :-)
