Hi everyone! By now the Easter eggs have all been painted and the chocolate has been eaten. (I now weigh 2 more kilos than I used to!) Hurray for the holidays! I hope everyone is having a safe, fun time.
For me the school holidays are the best time to catch up on my reading. I would love to hear what everyone else is reading. Of course, the Lit Quiz Kids are diligently reading the NZ Post books but what are the rest of you reading? Here's what I am up to-
I am currently reading: The Colour by Rose Tremain. (Kindly lent to me by Mrs Stark)
I have just finished reading: The Shack by Wm Paul Young (Kindly lent to me by Mea)
I will next be reading: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (When I find it under the huge pile of books on my desk)
I am continuously reading: Stuff (Internet news), The Marlborough Express, everything about Horse Whispering I can find on the Net, horses and ponies for sale on Trademe, sailboats for sale on Trademe and St John articles and texts for my ambulance training.
With all this reading and chocolate-eating these holidays are going by fast :-) Please post a reply and let me know what you are reading. Happy Holidays!

Hi Blogmaster, I've just finished reading Life of Pi (fabulous) and I'm about to start The Book Thief. Since I'm in training for the St Claire half marathon, I'm intermittently reading articles from Women's Health while munching on yummy Makana chocolate!!! You're blog is developing well! Miss Penman
Hi Miss P,
Thanks for letting us know what you are reading these days. Btw, fyi, the Life of Pi was written by a Canadian (Go Canada!).
What an awesome goal you have in training for the St Clair half marathon. Perhaps you could let us all know when and where it is taking place? I am sure I will not be alone in wanting to applaud you over the finish line. :-) Kerry
go miss penman keep trainning hard and i'm sure you'll do well.

break a leg (as they say in show biz)
Dear Kerry.I have read some really good books over the holidays - The Good Thief - quite childlike but also deep, Sashenka which is about the Russian Revolution, To Love Honour and Obey - definitely a holiday read but no literary value.I have also read every Cuisine magazine that I own and made a folder of recipes to try.3 days down the Sounds with a walk to Lochmara being the highlight and they have great coffee.Finished with a trip to Wellington with Tania Pringle. Look forward to seeing you back when school starts. Liz
